Welcome to KC Select Soccer Club

The KC Select Soccer Club was founded in 2005 as the result of a merger of the Scream Soccer Club, the Renegades Soccer Club, the KC Nationals Soccer Club and various other independent soccer teams.  KC Select has more MYSA State Cup Championships (3), Finalists (6), Semi-Finalists (2) and Midwest Regional League Premier Division (1) Championships than any other club on the Missouri side of the KC Metro area. KC Select currently has teams ranked on the State, Regional and National level by NationalSoccerRanking.com. and GOTSOCCER.COM.

KC Select's core values center around Family, Education and Soccer Excellence.  Our mission is to promote youth soccer development in the KC Metro area with a blended focus on individual skills and age-appropriate tactical training.  This is accomplished in a positive environment where players will have fun when playing at a highly competitive level. KC Select's approach to training will allow players to play at the highest levels of youth soccer and prepare them to compete at the high school and college levels.

CASL Powerade Shootout  Champions 2008

Congratulations to the U16 Scream USA team who won the Premier division of the CASL Powerade Shootout held in Raleigh, North Carolina. The CASL tournament is one of the highest ranked tournaments in the nation. The tournament was held in conjunction with the Division I college Women's Final 4.

Scream played stiff competition beating the #2 team from Michigan 2-0 and the #3 team from Maryland 2-0. Scream matched up against a tough Florida team in the semi-final game. The game was tied 0-0 in regulation and overtime. Both teams prepared for penalty kicks. Katie Davis, Jenna Turner, Kaely Tott, and Allie Stephenson nailed their PK's and keeper Caroline Stanley came up with a huge save to claim victory.

In the final,Scream encountered a very physical New York team. Scream struck early on a goal from Erin Robinson, with a beautiful assist from Katie Davis. New York equalized 90 seconds later. Tiffany Woodruff, Peri Irwin and Allie Stephenson continued to pressure the goalie with agressive play. Before the whistle blew at half, Jenna Turner took a shot outside the 18 to put Scream up 2-1.

KC Select hung on to the 2-1 lead with excellent defensive play from Heather Nelson, Kaely Tott, Madi Knight, Ciara Howerton, Ashton Allcorn, Leah Connery, and Kaitlin Denny. Caroline Stanley came up with a key save to secure victory for Scream USA.

Midwest Regional League Premier Division Champions Fall 2008

Congratulations Scream Red U15 Girls 

The Scream Red girls continue with their success winning the Midwest Regional League PREMIER division. They competed in the top division against the top 10 teams in Region 2 including, beating last year’s Regional champion.  

Winning the Regional League Premier division gives them an automatic qualification for the Region 2 Regional Championship tournament in June of next year in South Dakota. They are the only Missouri team from the KC area ever to be repeat qualifiers to the Regional championship. Coached by Ross Stride the team is currently ranked #1 in Missouri and in the top 10 teams in the US for their age!  

With a relatively small roster for this level, this group of dedicated young ladies has proven that team work and commitment pay off. They will represent KC Select in the State Cup Championships in June, followed by the Regional Championships as part of the US Youth National soccer championship series.  

2008 Metro United Fall Classic

The KC Select Fire U13 girls coached by Barry Cummings were crowned champions of the prestigious 2008 Metro United Fall Classic.  The Fire went 5-0, scoring 15 goals and conceding only 2 goals on their way to defeating the Novi MI Jaguars (ranked #6 nationally and #2 in Region II) by a 1-0 score in the championship game.  The Fire knocked off SLSG United - Stitchling (ranked #3 Nationally and #1 in Region II), as well as Team Chicago Man United (ranked #45 nationally) in pool play.  
 
Congratulations to Coach Cummings and the Fire girls for a wonderful accomplishment and for making Kansas City proud.
