- Evans began his pro career in 1999 with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in their inaugural year. He led the team in assists (14) and minutes played (2,501).
- Evans was drafted in the second round of the 2000 MLS SuperDraft by the San Jose Earthquakes.
- Evans led the USL Charleston Battery in minutes played in 2002 with 2,618 scoring 4 goals and adding 2 assists.
- Evans came to the Kansas City Comets in a pre-season trade, appeared in 35 games while notching a career-high 20 goals and seven assists for 27 points
- Evans returned to the Charleston Battery in 2004 and also attended the US National Team training camp.
