Kaysie Clark has been a member of the KC Select Soccer Club since she was eight.  She’s enjoyed many successes with her team throughout the years she has been with the club.  She was a part of the first Kansas City girl’s team to win a state cup in Missouri, won a 3v3 World championship, and has become recognized as one of the top players in the country in her age division.  Currently, she is part of a core group of young women that have been called in to eight training/tryout camps for the U17 Women’s National Team in hopes to play in the U17 World Cup in 2010.  Kaysie will be traveling to Florida in November to play with the Region 2 Olympic Development Programs’ 1993 team.  Afterwards, she is hoping to travel with the U17 Women’s National Team to Brazil in December.  A roster should be named for the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers sometime in February where she hopes to find her name!

U16 Girls Scream Red Qualifies for National League Minimize

Scream_RedA.JPG

Scream Red U16G has been accepted in to the highest level of US Youth soccer play by being accepted into the US Youth Soccer National League. The national league is for U15-U18 year olds and accepts only 8 teams per age or two from each region making them one of the top teams in the nation. Scream Red was recommended and accepted based on their overall achievement in Region 2 winning the Premier division (highest level) of the Midwest Regional League and having a strong showing at the Region 2 championships finishing 3rd after 2 OT’s and Pk’s.

The Scream finished a very strong but disappointing 3rd in the Region 2 Championships after going to PK’s. The girls were still considered a key favorite for Region 2 for they only gave up one goal the entire Region 2 championship- and that was after going to their backup goalie after the starting goalie was injured 2 days before the tournament.

Coach Ross Stride has worked very hard and kept these girls together and prepared them for play at the highest level and to secure them strong recruitment possibilities.
